1. Science World
Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka have spent their share of time in Vancouver, especially after purchasing a stylish penthouse in the city's Yaletown neighbourhood. The couple has praised the city for being both beautiful and kid-friendly, and have shared photos of outings to Science World. Science prides itself on providing children and families with access to cutting-edge, curriculum-linked galleries, films and hands-on educational programs. It also houses an OMNIMAX Theatre with one of the largest dome screens in the world.
 
2. Honey’s Doughnuts
Apparently actress Kate Winslet has never quite recovered from the delicious donuts she sampled while she was filming The Mountains Between Us. Located in the quaint village of Deep Cove, just a 20-minute drive from downtown Vancouver, Deep Cove is also a great place to go kayaking, paddle boarding and shopping.
 
3. VanDusen Botanical Garden
During her time filming CW’s Life Sentence in Vancouver, Lucy Hale has shared many photos of the city on her social media channels. She's shared photos of herself at the beautiful VanDusen Botanical Garden. The garden is particularly pretty at this time of year, when it’s celebrating the Festival of Lights, which sees some one million lights transforming the park into a winter wonderland.
 
4. Nat’s New York Pizzeria
Ryan Reynolds grew up in Vancouver's Kitsilano neighbourhood, and he has mentioned his love for Nat's New York Pizzeria. The thin-crust, Neapolitan-style pizza on offer here originated in Nat and Franco's great, great, great grandmother's kitchen in Naples, Italy, in the 1900s.
 
5. Go Fish
Looking for the best fish and chips in Vancouver? Then take a leaf out of Sesh Rogen’s book and make a beeline for Go Fish. It’s just a short stroll westwards along the seawall from Granville Island Market. The fish and chips are to die for, but the fish tacos are also recommended, as are the changing daily specials, which are brought in by the nearby fishing boats.
