If you’re looking for something to do in Vancouver this summer in the Rogers’ Arena district, you could find yourself spoiled for choice!

Not only is there an incredible line-up for live acts gracing the stage at the arena—Queen and Adam Lambert (July 2), Neil Diamond (July 24), Bob Dylan (July 25), Bruno Mars (July 26 and 27), Ed Sheeran (July 28), Lady Gaga (August 1), Tom Petty (August 17), Zac Brown Band (August 18) and One Republic on (August 21)—but there are also plenty of attractions to keep you happy in this part of town.

1. Check Out Chinatown

Vancouver boasts the third-largest Chinatown in North America. Spanning Main, Pender and Keefer Streets, this district is packed with historic reminders of the immigrants that helped build British Columbia from the mid-18th century onwards. Gaze upon the artwork of the towering Millennium Gate, shop for exotic ingredients in the grocery stores, sample some of the best dim-sum you’ll ever wrap your lips around and join the stylish set in the area’s hip new bars.

2. Get Hands-On at TELUS World of Science

Want to blow a giant soap bubble? Play the piano with your feet? Then make your way to Science World at the TELUS World of Science. Located in a landmark geodesic dome, highlights include the Eureka! Gallery, the Sustainability Gallery, a special Kidspace and the Science Theatre. More than 550,000 people visit each year – and they can’t all be wrong!

3. Find Inner Peace at Dr Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

If you’re searching for some tranquility in this bustling part of town, take a break at the peaceful Dr Sun Yat-Sen Classical Garden. This was the first full-scale classical Chinese garden to be built outside China – and it’s a historical, architectural and horticultural masterpiece. In the summer the garden hosts a series of summer concerts.
