MARK KNOPFLER

As the creative force behind his band Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler made a name for himself as a guitarist’s guitarist, serving up buttery riffs plucked finger-style but with a rock and roll drive. He’s also an incredible songwriter whose soft voice delivers sensitive and soulful songs like “Sultans of Swing,” “Romeo & Juliet” and “What It Is.”

Knopfler will take to the stage on September 16 at the Orpheum to blow crowds away with his singular talent.

ERIC ANDRE

The last time Eric Andre performed in Vancouver, he spent half the show crowd surfing with his mic in his hand. Anyone who was there says it was the best performance they’ve ever seen by any category: music, comedy, whatever.

When Eric Andre exploded on the scene with his anarchic brand of provocative humour, he changed the landscape of stand-up comedy. Andre shows are events, a mixture of improvisation, art piece and complete hilarity.

His next show at the Vogue Theatre on Friday, September 20 as part of his “Legalize Everything” tour is sure to be every bit as incredible as his last one. Don’t miss out.

ELTON JOHN: FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD

Before Elton John was immortalized by this year’s film Rocket Man, he was already a living legend – having performed countless hits over nearly five decades that forever changed the shape of pop music. This unlikely rock hero has always been utterly transfixing in performance, and this year he has embarked on his final tour.

Farewell Yellow Brick Road is Sir Elton’s send-off to his fans, and it is coming to Vancouver’s Rogers Arena on September 21 and 22. See him perform hits like “Benny and The Jets,” “I’m Still Standing,” “Tiny Dancer” and “Candle in The Wind” for the last times ever.
